Bank connections
Connect checking, savings, and credit cards through Plaid. Unlimited accounts. Sync in the background, and reconnect when a login expires.

The Problem
Typing every purchase is how budgets die. Connecting a bank should not mean handing Copia your password, and a dropped login should not duplicate three months of history.
What it is
Connect accounts through Plaid. You sign in with your bank, not with us. We never store bank passwords. Once linked, balances and transactions sync in the background, including pending charges.
You can connect as many institutions as you need. When a connection needs you to sign in again, Copia prompts you to re-authenticate. Matching accounts and transactions is covered in Smooth History.
Bank connections are part of the $4.99/month plan. Manual accounts stay on the free plan if you are not ready to link.
Why it matters
Automatic import is the difference between a budget you keep and one you abandon. We still treat connections as something that will break, which is why manual entry, CSV, and photo import exist alongside sync.
