Email Your Receipts to Copia
Receipts pile up everywhere: in your inbox, in your camera roll, in your wallet. We built receipt upload so you can drag and drop or upload files, but we kept thinking: what if you could just forward an email and have it show up in Copia? No app switching, no saving files first. So we added email ingest.
How It Works
You can email or forward any receipt to receipts@caluuma.resend.app. Attach a PDF or image, or forward an existing receipt email from your inbox. Within a minute or so, it shows up on your Receipts page and goes through the same pipeline as an upload. We extract the data, try to match it to a transaction, and you can review or link it manually if needed.
One thing to know: you need to send or forward from the same email address you use for your Copia account. That's how we know which profile to add it to.
Set It and Forget It
Here's where it gets useful. You can set up forwarding rules in your email client so receipts go to Copia automatically. In Gmail, create a filter that matches emails from vendors you shop at (like amazon.com, uber.com, or starbucks.com) and add an action to forward those to the ingest address. Same idea in Outlook or Apple Mail: create a rule that matches receipt senders and forwards to that address.
Once that's set up, every time you get a receipt from those vendors, it gets forwarded to Copia and ingested. You don't have to think about it.
Receipts You Already Get
A lot of the places you shop already email you receipts. Amazon, Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Starbucks, Target, Walmart. Most of them send a receipt or order confirmation to your email. If you add forwarding rules for those senders, those receipts will flow into Copia automatically. Instead of manually uploading or forwarding, you set up the rules once and from then on your receipts show up without you doing anything.
Where to Find the Address
The ingest address is in the tooltip when you hover over the Upload Receipt button on the Receipts page. You can copy it from there. It's receipts@caluuma.resend.app. The address may change in the future, but we'll maintain backward compatibility. If you've set up forwarding rules with it, we won't rugpull it.
We now use this ourselves and it seems to work pretty well. If you run into issues or have ideas for making it better, we'd love to hear from you. Reach out on Discord.
