The Problem
A grocery run hits your bank as one total. That does not tell you how much was food versus household versus the flowers you grabbed at the register. Paper and email receipts pile up in other places, and typing line items by hand is not happening.
What it is
Receipts in Copia are more than a camera scan.
Upload or photograph. Add a PDF or image on the Receipts page. Copia reads the merchant, total, and line items, then suggests subcategories from the list you already use. Link the receipt to the matching bank transaction.
Forward by email. Send or forward a receipt to the ingest address from the same email you use for Copia (the address is on the Receipts page). Attach a PDF or image, or forward an Amazon, Uber, or store confirmation. You can set a mail filter once so those senders forward automatically.
Receipt capture is part of the $4.99/month plan.
Why it matters
If you want a budget that matches how you actually shop, the line items have to make it in. Email forwarding is how we keep up without opening the app after every purchase.
