The Problem
The dashboard is a check-in. When you want to know whether spending climbed, which merchants ate the month, or how money moved between accounts, you need more room than a widget.
What it is
Insights is a dedicated page with three views.
Net income. Totals for income, expenses, net, and year-to-date, plus category tables with monthly averages, versus last month, and versus last year. Hide a category or subcategory from the totals the same way you hide them on the budget. Tap an amount to open the matching transactions.
Merchants. Ranked spend for the month, how concentrated your spending is, visit count, average ticket, and a trend for the merchant you select.
Distribution. A Sankey-style view of how money flows between accounts, income, and spending categories.

Why it matters
You can answer "did we spend more this month?" and "who is taking the money?" without exporting to a spreadsheet.
